Dual venting wood burning appliances
Did you know it is unsafe to vent a wood burning appliance AND a gas or fuel oil furnace in the same chimney flue?
Gas, fuel oil and wood burn at different temperatures, pressures and emit different gases. The combination creates inadequate venting allowing carbon monoxide gas into the home that can cause serious illness or death. Dual venting also creates inadequate temperatures for wood burning allowing accelerated creosote buildup inside the chimney that causes uncontrolled fires.
Protect your property AND your family from injury or death. If you have a dual vented chimney flue, please contact a heating professional today.
